Lindy Cats Intensive Days with Ana and Alberto

Four days full of swing dancing and authentic solo jazz with Ana and Alberto. Look forward to focused training, new impulses for technique and musicality as well as lots of time for dancing, experimentation and development.

On the weekend we're continuing intensively at our Community Exchange.

Tracks

Open Level - Fun Track (25 €)

You can do triple steps, change of place und send out without any difficulties.

Intermediates & Explorers (25 €)

You can do triple steps, change of place, send out und swing out without any difficulties.

Advanced (50 €)

You regularly attend socials. You can do swing out, circle, tuck turns, sugar pushes, charleston basic und hand to hand without any difficulties.

Teachers (50 €)

You are teaching Lindy Hop (for the Lindy Cats).

Swing Dance & Community Exchange with the Swing Freaks from Triest

Two swing communities, one dance floor: an occasion to share laughs, moves, and good times!
After the wonderful weekend in Trieste in spring, it is now time to welcome our friends in Graz.

Schedule

Friday, 16.10.

  • 17:00 - 19:00: Workshop with Ana & Alberto (optional, to be booked in addition)
  • 20:00: Food & Dance @ Eschenlaube

Saturday, 17.10.

Sunday, 18.10.

Choose one of the following morning activities:

  • Craft & Connect
    Embroider a personal shoe bag - or bring your own stuff to prettify!
    Material is provided (app. 30,- € per person/bag). Limited space for 15 persons.
  • Sing & Jam Session
    Sing and jam together, we will rehearse swing music standards guided by an experienced musician of our local scene.
  • Walk & Talk (and Slide?)
    We will walk up the Schlossberg to visit the Clock Tower and enjoy the view over Graz. For the adventurous ones, the way back will be via the Schlossbergrutsche (slide inside the mountain). Otherwise you can also walk down, take the lift or the funicular.

Afternoon activity for everybody:

  • Cozy Farewell Coffee, Cake and Dance @ Tangobaustelle

Costs

70 € for the program from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon

25 € in addition for the optional workshop with Ana & Alberto on Friday

Not included: Fee for the guided tour at Kunsthaus (3,50 €), fee for the Schlossbergrutsche (8,30 €), material for Craft & Connect (app. 30,-€); to be paid on site.
